Harry Kane is desperate to return from his ankle injury in time for a potential shot at winning his first trophy with Tottenham Hotspur.
Striker Kane underwent a scan on his left ankle on Tuesday morning and was seen wearing a protective boot and walking with crutches on his way in to see a Harley Street specialist.
Tottenham are yet to put a timescale on Kane’s absence, but, as revealed by Telegraph Sport, the England international fears he will be out for at least four weeks.
That means he will miss next Thursday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which Tottenham are winning by a single Kane goal from the first leg.
But Kane is hoping his team-mates can book a place in the final on February 24 to give him a target to work towards achieving full fitness by. Kane is yet to win a trophy during his Tottenham career and has spoken on several occasions this season of his desire to do so.
