Everton manager Marco Silva has been charged by the Football Association for improper conduct following his side’s weekend defeat at Newcastle.
Silva has been told he has a case to answer having confronted referee Lee Mason shortly after the final whistle in the 3-2 defeat for his side.
The Portuguese coach was furious Newcastle’s winning goal was allowed to stand, arguing striker Salomon Rondon was offside in the moments before Ayoze Perez secured the three points for the home team.
The FA issued a statement on Monday.
“Marco Silva has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3 following the Premier League game against Newcastle United on Saturday, 9 March 2019,” it read.
