Mark Noble baits Liverpool after draw but Jurgen Klopp insists pressure is not getting to his players

Mark Noble said that Liverpool were “scared” by West Ham as Jurgen Klopp’s side dropped two crucial points in the title race.

The West Ham captain and his manager, Manuel Pellegrini, both said that the home side had deserved to win the game ahead of Liverpool, whose first-half goal should have been disallowed for offside.

“We defended fantastically well and probably deserved to win tonight,” said Noble. “You can’t play man to man against Liverpool and out-pass them. You have to keep your shape and stop them.

“We scared them. You have to do that against the top teams. I am just gutted we didn’t come away with the three points.”

Klopp denied Noble’s claims that Liverpool were afraid of West Ham’s attacking threat, quipping: “I wish for West Ham fans that Mark Noble and his team would scare more teams and not only us tonight.
