RFU reveals which 28 England women's players have been handed full-time contracts

The Rugby Football Union has ­revealed the full squad of England Women’s players to be awarded full-time professional contracts for the 2019 season in what is being heralded as a “revolutionary” ­moment for the women’s game.

The 28 full-time and seven part-time contracts are part of the ­union’s ambitious strategy to ­reclaim the World Cup in New Zealand in 2021.

Captain Sarah Hunter, one of those to be given a full-time deal, believes this is a historic moment for the women’s game and one she did not think would happen so swiftly.
