Sources in Germany claim Bayern Munich could be interested in hiring Mislintat, whose appointment in November 2017 was heralded as a coup for Arsenal.
Should Mislintat leave, then Arsenal would have lost former manager Arsene Wenger, Gazidis and the German in under a year.
Telegraph Sport attempted to contact Mislintat, but he did not respond. A source close to Arsenal said: “There have been rumours around the club for some time that Mislintat is leaving.”
Edu played for Arsenal between 2001 and 2005 making a total of 127 appearances before moving to Valencia and, in 2010 back to his first team in his native Brazil, Corinthians. A year later he took up a director of football role with Corinthians and has since become technical director of the Brazil national team.
