Tin Star, series 2 episode 1, review: clunky, clichéd and a muddled mess (but the mountain lion was good)

Several shootings, a suicide attempt, a spot of arson and a sex scene, all within the opening 10 minutes. The second series of revenge thriller Tin Star (Sky Atlantic) didn’t exactly get off to a sedate start. 

The debut run in 2017 ended on a blood-spattered cliffhanger. High up in the Canadian Rockies, psycho sheriff Jim Worth (Tim Roth) had been shot by his daughter Anna (Abigail Lawrie). Typical. You bring them into the world, raise them and this is the thanks you get? Then again, daddy dearest had just killed her boyfriend.
