Unai Emery, the Arsenal head coach, has warned that Manchester United are a changed team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of their FA Cup meeting on Friday.
Emery said United are far more “dangerous” since Jose Mourinho was replaced by Solskjaer, who has won all seven of his matches since taking over in December.
Arsenal drew 2-2 at Old Trafford at the beginning of December but Emery has told his players to expect a different challenge at the Emirates.
“It’s a different team,” Emery said. “It’s the same players but they are playing with a big performance now. I was watching their last matches and and each player has a lot of confidence, with big performances, and now they are very dangerous.”
Emery will hope that a squad paintballing trip on Monday will have helped to unite the team after a difficult run of fixtures over the festive period. The Arsenal head coach joked that he had been shot three times by his players during the bonding session, which they had planned to do earlier this season but were unable to find the time.
“I like a lot to do something different sometimes, in all my career with all my teams,” Emery said. “Here, for one reason or another, we have not been able to do that so far.
