What is it?
The Cheltenham Gold Cup. It’s the Festival’s blue ribbon event which is a gruelling test of stamina as the runners and riders compete over 22 fences and three and a quarter miles.
When is it?
It takes place on the last day of the Cheltenham Festival so Friday, March 15.
What time is it?
The first race on Gold Cup day will be at 1.30pm but the main event of the day, the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase, will be run at 3.30pm.
